| Construction: | A large metal front flange is chrome plated and protects a clear plastic window which is recessed. The black thick plastic body has two long screw terminals marked with their polarity. They contain two nuts and two washed for connecting lugs. A zero-set screw can be accessed from the front or rear. | ||

Sturdy
large voltmeter. I imagine that this was a specifically commissioned
model as part of the Crypton car garage equipment - this being ideal for
reading car-type voltages when at a distance from the equipment. Hobut
are still making meters after 85 years! It is built well enough to cope
with industrial usage.
I found this in a junk shop for a few pounds as I wanted to build a simple low-voltage bench meter but was shocked at the prices people charge so nabbed this! |
