| Comments: | Pretty useful book for those scared to admit they do not understand everything about calculators. The early sections break down examples into Algebraic (normal) and Arithmetic (semi-RPN on this web site) operations. This is useful for collectors who end up with early calculators with (+=) type keys. Interspersed with a few sections on “Figure Fun” for light relief. | |
| Notable Quotes: | “The
electronic calculator is now becoming part of our everyday life. Decimal money and metrication mean that a calculator can
easily deal with our common calculations.
The price of machines has dropped considerably, partly because of
improved design and partly because, as more machines are sold, mass
production methods result in a reduction in the cost of each individual
unit.” And from the Publisher Paperfronts: “We seek the authoritative manuscript, giving editorial help to the inexperienced writer”. “Resulting huge print runs maintain tremendous low-price value…” |
