Calculators: Vintage Calculator ICs
This section under construction (and it always will be) is designed to analyse the vintage calculator ICs (or semiconductor chips) that were used mainly in the 1970s. In depth, chip by chip descriptions are given with an ever growing summary of the brand. With some basic guidelines it is possible to guess the chip without even opening the calculator. It is also fascinating to look at the relationships between calculator manufacturers and IC companies (which would have been the main component cost) and how they changed over time. If anyone has information to add it would be gladly received.
