The E6523 is a multi-digit display tube. with lead wires at both ends of the glass tube. As clearly seen from the drawing. the spacing between pins (1) and (12) is wider than that of the other pins. | ||

The
example here shows of one application.
A scanning system is employed to present data in a multiplexed fashion. Digital pulses are applied serially to the grids of the display tube. In addition the contents of the display digit are applied to the segments of the display tube. The square wave voltage is supplied to the filament. |
