Kovac K-80D Tabletop mini
Electronic Calculator

Kovac K-80D is a tabletop mini electronic calculator offering the capability of large calculators in a compact package. Employment of a miniaturized computer circuit incorporating LSI (Large Scale Integration) assures a rugged and reliable unit. Self-contained dry batteries permit convenient use, easily carried from room to room, or desk to desk, without the need for AC power. An optional adaptor is available for AC Power operation. This adaptor also permits use of rechargeable batteries in place of dry batteries. A wide and easy-to-see display indicator provides eight digits for entry and read-out despite the compact size.  KOVAC K-80D can perform constant calculation, as well as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division functions. A battery-indicator eliminates calculation interruptions by indicating battery charge.
Since operation is easy and no skill is required, anyone can easily use KOVAC K-80D, making it ideal for both business and study calculations. Always keep Kovac K-80D at hand for quick, accurate calculations.

[The rear contains Features and Specifications text as well as an operation outline].

Comment: It is odd to read an advert extolling the functions of this calculator today - as we take these for granted.  Before 1972 though, most calculators were £100+ monsters.

My example of this calculator is from mid-1972, so it suggests that by December, the start of the "Calculator Price-Wars" was creating such pressure that manufacturers were already starting to highly discount models.
