Rockwell Reference Information - under construction

First "R" Series (mid 1974 to early 1975)
 In mid-1974 Rockwell sold the first "R" range of calculators consisting of the 10R, 20R, 30R, 51R, 61R and 80R.   All the hand-held "zero ending" calculators consisted of a standard design - brown buttons, large upper portion red display filter and sliding on/off switch on the left hand side.  The 51R/61R had blue VFD displays, internal rechargeable batteries and rocking keys like the early Unicom's.  I can only presume that the "R" stands for Rockwell as this would usually indicated rechargeable batteries in other calculators of this era.  An Accessory Kit consisting of an AC adapter and carrying case was available at extra cost (free with the 51R and 61R) and given the part number 01R , whilst the charger on its own was part number 328R07-001.
