| Case: | Flat two-piece plastic case in red smooth and black matt plastic. All the edges and corners are rounded giving it a nice feel in the hand. There is an oversized green display filter that wraps over the edges and fits flat and flush to give a nice bright image. A metallic sticker printed black and red sits in its own recess below the display. There is another metallic sticker, printed in black saying Made in Japan on the keyboard surround. In my experience this is liable to peeling over the years. They keys are short travel and squishy but work rather well. They are labelled with engraved shapes painted black. | |

| Features: | Four function plus percentages, change sign, square root and three-function memory. | |

Comments:
|
Solid feeling standard calculator if a bit quirky with the red case. The logic is OK but recovery is poor and it have the "negative zero" bug. Odd use of the right-most digit for symbols. Black soft plastic cover is open topped with half-moon cut-outs on the top sides. It has Sharp embossed on the lower right front and made in Japan on the reverse. |

| Construction: | Remove the screw from within the battery compartment and ... that's it - I cannot find a way to open this even though there is a clearly exposed lug in the battery area. Can anyone help? |

| Logic comments: | The (CE) key clears the last number entered whilst (C) clears the whole calculator |
| Input overflow is suppressed, inputting a ninth digit is ignored | |
| There is automatic constant on multiply and divide only | |
| The change sign function can be used in mid number entry | |
| Negative numbers are shown by a "-" displayed in the far right (first) digit thereby allowing full eight digit negative numbers | |
| Divide by zero result in the display of "0.C" and is not recoverable | |
| Overflow results in the result and "C" (or "E" if negative) in the far right (first) digit and is not recoverable | |
| Negative square roots are not allowed and result in "0.C" and is not recoverable | |
| Memory store is indicated by the far right (first) digit's decimal point | |
| This calculator suffers the "negative zero" bug; try (1)(-)(2)(=) to give "-1" then (+)(1)(=) will give "-0" |
