Domestic Console Radiograms: Raymond "Centenary" F57 Twin-speaker Auto-radiogram

This trader advert from February 1951 shows the monster radiogram, the Raymond F57.  No marketing strap and a highly technical (but grammatically dubious) description only.  In 1950 this same model was advertised as the "Festival".

Technical Specification. 5 Mullard all glass Valves.  3 wavebands (SW. 13/50, MW. 175/556, LW. 750/1000 metres).  100V to 250V A.C. Mains. Multi-coloured glass Tuning Scale. 4 Watts output.  Combined on/off switch and tone control.  Extension Speaker socket.  Imp. 2/4 ohms.  Two 6" matched high flux permanent magnet loudspeakers.  Garrard automatic Record Changer for ten 10" or 12" records.  Record Compartment to hold 120.  Figured Walnut veneered cabinet, size 32½" wide, 14" deep, 27½" high.

Price 68 gns. Tax paid.
