Domestic Table TVs: Table TV: Raymond F60

This Trader advert from July 1951 shows the simple and functional F60 table TV from Raymond.   As new TV stations were coming on board, tuning range became a big selling point.  Vague reference to one knob on the front that controls "picture quality" - I would have always had it on "high"!

Specification: Cabinet: 17" high, 17½" wide, 17½" deep, in 2 colour walnut veneer, highly finished.  Special dark safety screen for realistic picture quality under all conditions, including daylight.  Controls: Two front control knobs - picture quality and sound.  Usual pre-set controls.  Interference: Automatic suppressor.  Mains: AC or DC, 200-250V.  Aerial: Co-axial feeder impedance 75 ohms.  Tube: 12" Cathode ray, latest type high potential fully ion trap.  Valves: 15 Mullard all glass, high efficiency.  Power consumption: 120 watts.
